Meteor shower tonight! And it’s supposed to be a big one; 100 meteors per hour is a good show, but NASA expects 500-1000 per hour this time!
Too bad it’ll peak around 3-5 PM in the States.
Well, looks like we won’t be seeing the Millennium Falcon or any TARDISes anytime soon, but the real discovery is no less interesting.

I like the cupcake bit.
I’m not going to lie; I think this is pretty cool. I don’t really care about the astrological whatnot, (not nearly as much as I like astronomical whatnot) so I’m quite happy to be an awesome FISHGOOOOOAT as opposed to some lady with a pot of water.
Plus, astronomers have known (and said) this for years. Decades, centuries, even over a millenia. Heck, even I heard about this a few years ago.
My mom is more into astrology and was quite upset to find out she’s now an Ophiuchus. She misses her hunting centaur and absolutely hates snakes.
At the end of the day, though, astronomy doesn’t seem to affect astrology. Is it the astrologers’ refusal of science or the irrelevance of the earth’s actual position compared to the constellations? I couldn’t care less, to be honest; I’m keeping my new fishgoat status whether astrologers like it or not.
